'Lunching With...' was the highlight of my time at CLEO magazine. The Q&A over cocktails - or in some cases 'mocktails' depending on the celeb's sobriety and religion - quickly became a success story for the Last Page as the concept and images were original to our brand. The content was quirky and each interview showed our talent in a new and interesting light, while of course maintaining their key message - though actor Firass Dirani's brain took us off on a fair few romantic tangents.
I was able to coordinate, style (and be in) the shoots (some, including the Darren and Cheyenne pieces, had less than 12 hours to become a reality) - with my fashion editor watching over me. I decided on venues, styling and shoot design appropriate to each subject and enjoyed the added perk of taking-away most of the food, as with most shoots props are mainly for show - except when we met Charlotte who polished off the cheese board and bevy all before 10am.
This page started as a pitch to incorporate the CLEO team into more of our magazine as well as create solid relationships with PR companies - and it morphed into an amazing experience - proving I could hustle.
